Bateman Elected Executive Director of Silver
Institute

Paul Bateman, Director
of Public Affairs of the Silver Institute, has been elected
Executive Director succeeding John Lutley who stepped down
after eleven years in that position. Lutley will continue
his association with the Silver Institute as senior consultant.
Bateman's move became effective October 1.
Bateman has been with the Institute for almost two years and
previously served in senior government positions in the executive
and legislative branches including the White House and Treasury
Department. Silver Institute President John Simko, who is
also President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Mining
and Refining in Boise, Idaho, praised Lutley's many years
of service.
"For more than a decade, John Lutley
has helped the silver industry prosper and grow through his
hard work and professionalism. I speak for the entire silver
industry when I say "thanks" for all your help."
