Conference Update for the 6th China International Silver Conference


(Washington, D.C. - September 11, 2007) Several hundred delegates are expected at the 6th Annual China International Silver Conference (CISC) in October. The conference will be held at the beautiful West Century City Holiday Inn in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Conference activities will begin with registration on October 16, followed that evening by a welcome reception. The conference program will take place on October 17 and 18, and October 19 is reserved for field trips. Chengdu is easily accessible by air from Beijing and Shanghai.

The conference will be attended by many of the world's principal silver market participants, representing leading global silver producers, precious metal research centers, research and development institutions, silver traders, manufacturers, governmental bodies and consumers to discuss and analyze the issues facing the steady and healthy development of the silver industry.

The Shanghai White Platinum and Silver Exchange is serving as the host of the conference. The 6th CISC is jointly sponsored by the Silver Institute, China General Chamber of Commerce, the Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Mineral & Chemicals Importers and Exporters.

The conference is open to all, and foreign participation is greatly encouraged by the conference organizers and sponsors. China is now the world's third largest silver producer and increasingly a major consumer of silver. Building on these trends, this conference will offer abundant opportunities to conference delegates to forge new relationships and increase product sales and investment opportunities.
